The performance of a tool steel is measured mainly by the contribution which it makes to the total step of reduction costs of exploitation of the tools.This contribution is expressed with through, of the service life of the active parts, and the economies which it makes it possible to carry out :
- by the reduction for the maintenance costs,
- by the increase in the productivity of the machines.
